Watermain Break Repairs

An underground water-main break can flood streets and private property, causing damage and safety hazards. The break must be controlled as quickly as possible.

If you suspect a water-main break has occurred in your Kitchener neighbourhood, please contact Kitchener Utilities at 519-741-2541 immediately.

Be aware, if water in your area needs to be turned off for a water-main break, you will receive little or no notice.

As well, you may notice brown or cloudy water coming from your tap following a water-main break. If this is the case, you should run your water until it becomes clear.
