Water Conservation

The supply of water is the responsibility of the Regional Municipality of Waterloo; and the distribution of water is the responsibility of the Kitchener Utilities division of the City of Kitchener. In order to assist in ensuring a steady supply of water, the City of Kitchener is committed to promoting the efficient use of water to our residents as well as the local business community.

Some of the water-conservation methods we promote and encourage our community members to implement include:

Using water-efficient fixtures and retrofits in new and renovated buildings.
Utilizing low-water-use landscaping alternatives.

Kitchener Utilities provides more tips for conserving water.

We are also committed to complementing the region's efforts to promote water conservation measures.
