Kitchener owns and operates four indoor pools and three outdoor poolseight splash pads and Kiwanis Park, which includes a large pool and 119 acres of natural woodland, shaded picnic areas and open fields.

Each indoor pool offers a variety of recreational swim programs, aquafitness classes and swimming lessons for all ages. Specialty aquatic programs are also offered including an introduction to many aquatic sports, and leadership and lifeguarding courses.

Lifeguards are on duty at all city aquatic facilities while the pools are open. We also provide information on water safety through our Watersmart program.

Want to be a lifeguard? Information about lifeguarding courses and aquatic job opportunities is available online.

City of Kitchener pools can be rented for birthday parties and other special events. Rental information is available online or by contacting any City of Kitchener pool.

Swimming programs and water safety lessons are available for schools and community groups. Contact the pool closest to you for more details.

We also provide a list of our swimming fees for your information. Fee assistance may also be available for those who cannot afford regular program costs.

The city's aquatics programs align with Active Kitchener, a campaign designed to get Kitchener residents involved, and to stay involved, in sport and physical activity.

Breastfeeding friendly. Anytime. Anywhere. The City of Kitchener operates family friendly facilities and supports breastfeeding mothers
