If your vehicle is found in contravention of any of our parking bylaws, you may be issued a ticket and your vehicle may be towed at your own expense. Parking violation fines vary from $15 to $300. In the event that the fine is not paid within the time frame specified on the ticket, the ticket will age and have a $16 late fee applied. If the ticket is not paid after 85 days from date issued the MTO will collect the ticket and administration fee and also add another $20 collection fee. Your license plate sticker can not be renewed until all outstanding tickets have been paid.
To report a parking violation, please call 519-741-2330.
Kitchener also has a tag-and-tow bylaw in place which prohibits parking on a city street when a snowfall of more than eight centimetres is forecast or a snow event is declared.
