Parking Options

Does the thought of finding a parking spot downtown Kitchener have you going around in circles? Don't worry! The City of Kitchener provides convenient, safe, affordable and accessible parking facilities in and around our core, including:

More than 2,695 off-street parking spaces
More than 350 free two-hour on-street parking spaces
20 municipal car-parks
Four fully automated parking structures located at City Hall, Kitchener Market, Charles & Benton and Duke & Ontario streets.

Work is also underway on downtown Kitchener's newest parking structure:

Underground parking garage on Queen Street South, next to the Kitchener Public Library.

To see all of our current municipal parking facilities and garage locations, please review our parking map. Or, for those of you who prefer cycling, we also offer a number of bike-rack locations downtown.

There is no re-parking allowed within 5 hours of initial parking in the two hour free parking spaces in downtown Kitchener. See map of applicable downtown streets.
