PAL

For some people with disabilities, it is necessary to have assistance in order to participate in recreation and leisure activities. A Personal Attendant for Leisure (PAL) card allows persons with a disability to be accompanied by a personal attendant at no extra charge so that they may participate in designated local programs.

The PAL card is accepted at city-operated recreation and leisure programs like swimming, skating and golf in Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph and Woolwich. The PAL card is also accepted at the following locations:

  • YMCA of Cambridge

  • Dickinson Bowl, Cambridge

  • Chicopee Ski Club, Kitchener

  • Country Bowl, Cambridge

  • The Aud, Kitchener

  • Bingemans, Kitchener

  • Waterloo Regional Children's Museum, Kitchener

  • Grey Silo Golf Course, Waterloo

  • Majestic Mud Pottery Studio, Kitchener

  • Blue Skies Yoga, Kitchener

  • Driftwood Martial Arts, Kitchener

  • Conestoga Sailing Club, Waterloo
