Natural Gas Emergency

If you suspect a natural-gas odour in your home, please contact Kitchener Utilities immediately at 519-741-2541. Then evacuate your premises. Kitchener Utilities will respond as soon as possible.

If the smell is extremely strong, please call the fire department at 911. 

Natural gas is non-toxic; and leaks can be easily detected with the added odorant, which smells like rotten eggs.
