Inclusion Grants

The City of Kitchener is committed to providing recreation and leisure-based programs and services to residents with special needs.

As part of that commitment, we offer inclusion grant opportunities to organizations/agencies in Kitchener and Waterloo whose programs/services are considered not to be a duplication of existing municipal services.

Examples of funded initiatives include:

Staffing or supply costs associated with the implementation of a recreation program for children with a disability.
Partial assistance with the costs of a facility rental for a program.
One-time purchase of adaptive equipment.

Grant requests are processed annually.
