Golf Clinics For People with Disabilties

If you are a youth or adult with a disability and have an interest in golf, Kitchener offers golf clinics for beginners and those with more experience. The clinics take place in May and June each year. Instruction is given in putting, chipping and driving.

Our golf clinics incorporate the Sport - an assistive device that can help those who use a wheelchair, walker or have balance difficulties and need to golf from a seated position.

The Sport is a single rider cart and has:

  • hand controls

  • a swivel seat that allows the golfer to swing a club from a seated position

  • an anti-tip frame that provides a very stable ride on any terrain

  • a mandatory lap belt and optional chest belt

Once you've received training on the Sport, you can book it for a round of golf at either Doon Valley or Rockway golf courses. Reservations must be made a minimum of 24 hours in advance by calling the golf course directly.
