ESL

To ensure all of the new Canadians who live in Kitchener have equal opportunities to participate in our community, without facing barriers, we offer and support a number of English as a second language (ESL) courses.

ESL courses for adults run out of two of our community centres - Centreville Chicopee community centre and Chandler Mowat community centre. Both programs are presented the neighbourhood associations that operate in these areas.

The Waterloo Catholic District School Board also offers ESL programs for adults, providing speakers of other languages with a foundation in speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. Morning, afternoon and evening classes are available to suit everyone's schedules.
