Requests and Invitations

If you would like to invite a member of Kitchener city council to attend an event, or if you'd like to request congratulatory certificates or city pins from the city, the office of the mayor and council would be happy to assist you.

Invite City Council

If you would like to invite the mayor and/or a city councillor to your event, please be sure to include all of the following event details:

Your name
Your address
Your phone number
Organization (if applicable)
E-mail
Type of event
Who you would like to attend (mayor/ward councillor/all council)
Event date
Event time
Event venue and address
Mayor/councillor's role (i.e. speaking, presentation, ribbon cutting, attendance only, etc.)
Additional event details

We will contact you to confirm attendance or extend regrets.

Request a Certificate

Congratulatory certificates are provided to individuals, groups, businesses and other organizations in Kitchener to commemorate anniversaries, birthdays, milestone occasions, official openings, and other special honours.

If you would like to request a certificate, please be sure to include all of the following details:

Type of certificate requested (birthday/anniversary)
Name of recipient(s)
Address of recipient(s)
Date of anniversary/birthday
Date of celebration (if different)
Pick-up or mailed?
Mailed to recipient or contact?
Your name
Your phone number
Your email
Your address

These certificates are not civic endorsements, and the city does not make proclamations.

Request City Pins

If your charitable organization, agency or sports team would like to hand out city pins at an upcoming meeting, event or tournament, please include the following details:

Request and reason

Due to costs, we limit the quantities given away.
