Each year Compass Kitchener, a small citizens' advisory group, reviews the city's work and produces a Citizens' Report Card to both city council and residents of Kitchener.
The report card tracks and grades the city's success in continuing to address the priorities of our community as outlined within the City of Kitchener Strategic Plan. Those six community priorities, which were developed through extensive community consultation in recent years, include:
Compass Kitchener is a small group of dedicated citizens which was established by city council to engage the community in achieving a shared vision for the future.
To that end, Compass Kitchener creates and leads public processes - including the Who-are-you-Kitchener? campaign during each term of council - to determine community concerns, to identify priorities for action and to monitor progress toward achieving the community's vision.
On an annual basis, Compass Kitchener releases its report card to council and to the community which highlights the progress made in achieving the community's vision and priorities.
