Playing our part to stimulate the economy

Aquatic Facility Improvements

The city has improved four of its aquatic facilities -- Harry Class pool, Breithaupt pool, Wilson/Kingsdale splash pad and Chicopee community centre splash pad -- after receiving $1.98 million in federal and provincial infrastructure funding. The city also contributed $990,000 in funding, which means the total amount allocated for this project was $2.970 million.

All upgrades are now complete. A celebratory ribbon-cutting event took place in June 2011, at Harry Class Pool, featuring aquatic sport demonstrations, a charity barbecue and a public swim.
